Two men injured in accident in Iklin

Two men were injured when a lifter fell over backwards in Triq it-Timu in Iklin.

According to preliminary investigations, the accident, which occurred at 14:50 today when a 30-year-old man driving a lifter in the road lost control of the vehicle,causing it to fall over backwards. A 48-year-old Siggiewi resident was also injured alongside the driver.

The men were rushed to Mater Dei hospital where they are receiving the necessary medical attention and where the 30-year-old’s injuries were certified as grievous.

Although the 48-year-old man’s condition is not yet known, he has not been ruled as critical.

Police investigations are still underway.
