Nine arrested over drug possession

Nine men were arrested between 19th and 20th December over drug possession after police carried out searches in various areas and buildings in Paceville, St. Julian’s.

The men, all aged between 17 and 31, are mostly Maltese, except for three of them. Two of the men are Gambian while another is English.

Various substances including what is thought to be cocaine, cannabis resin and ecstasy were found in the men’s possession.

The men are now assisting the police in the ongoing investigation.
