32-year-old Hisham Ali Abugilla smashed the glass surface of a desk, having grown impatient while waiting to be attended to.
A Libyan man was conditionally discharged by a court after he pleaded guilty to causing damages at the offices of the Agency for the Welfare of Asylum Seekers, in Valletta.
Inspector Priscilla Caruana told magistrate Natasha Galea Sciberras how the incident occurred at the Agency offices at around 1.30pm today, when 32-year-old Hisham Ali Abugilla smashed the glass surface of a desk, having grown impatient while waiting to be attended to.
The man then goaded the AWAS employees to call the police and threatened to cause further damage.
The Magistrate warned the accused that he must control his temper, or would find himself in serious trouble if it happened again.
The court also gave Aburgilla four months to reimburse the Agency for the €80 worth of damage which he had caused.
