Man stabbed and left to bleed in Swieqi

Police say that a foreign man was stabbed in Swieqi in the midst of an argument with a number of other people

A man is in critical condition after he was stabbed and left to bleed in Triq il-Keffa, Swieqi.

Police said in a statement that they were informed at 8am that a man was lying injured in the Swieqi road. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man, a foreigner, was stabbed in the midst of an argument with "a number of other people".

He has since been taken to Mater Dei and the police said the man was in a critical condition.

A magisterial inquiry has been appointed and police investigations are ongoing.
