58 year-old man from Gudja sustains grievous injuries in car crash in Gudja, but he is not in danger of losing his life
A 58 year-old man from Gudja sustained grievous injuries in a car crash in Gudja last night. The police have confirmed, however, that the man is not in danger of losing his life.
The car crash occurred at 19:15 on Sunday evening, at Dawret il- Gudja, in Gudja and preliminary investigations showed that three vehicles were involved in the crash.
According to a police statement, two vehicles, a Honda Civic and a Maruti Zen, both driving in the same direction, crashed into each other, and the latter vehicle subsequently crashed into a Renault Scenic driving in the opposite direction.
Members of the civil protection department then heloed the 58-year old man, who was driving the Maruti, out of the vehicle, and he was immediately taken to Mater Dei hospital for medical attention.
The Honda Civic was being driven by a 38-year-old, Zabbar resident, and the Renault Scenic was being driven by a 41-year old man from Imqabba, but neither of the drivers suffered any injuries.
The road was closed for some time, and police investigations are ongoing.
