Police stop 90 cars, find seven drivers over legal alcohol limits

Seven drivers were found under the influence of alcohol that exceeded the prescribed limits during traffic checks held last night in St Julian’s.

A total of 90 vehicles were stopped and inspected throughout the night, with several drivers, stopped for contraventions such as operating mobile phones while driving, not wearing seatbelts and driving a vehicle without number plates among others.
