Driver dies in Siggiewi traffic accident
The 31-year-old's vehicle struck a pavement and a lamp post before hitting a parked vehicle
A Siggiewi woman died yesterday after a traffic accident in her hometown.
Police were called to the scene, in Triq Mons. Mikiel Azzopardi, at about 10:15pm. Initial investigations suggest the 31-year-old driver, behind the wheel of a Toyota Vitz, struck a pavement, then a lamp post, before striking a parked vehicle.
Members of the Civil Protection department were on site to help free the woman from the wreck. She was taken to hospital but died shortly after.
Police investigations are ongoing.
