A15-year-old boy is being held by the police after he attacked his mother with a knife during an argument at home.
The incident happened in Marsaskala.
The woman, 38, called the police for assistance after her son attacked her before fleeing the scene. The mother suffered slight injuries and was taken to a health centre for treatment.
Investigations by the police are underway.
