Young man injured in Hamrun gaming outlet hold-up
Two armed robbers injure a gaming shop employee and make off with a 'substantial amount of money'
A 19-year-old man was slightly injured after two armed robbers broke into a gaming outlet in Hamrun on Friday night.
Police said that the hooded men, who were armed with a firearm and a knife, entered the outlet in Triq Dun Nerik Cordina Perez at around 9:45pm. They attacked the teenage employee, demanded money from him, and fled the scene with a “substantial amount of cash”.
The clients who were inside the outlet during the robbery were not harmed.
A magisterial inquiry is being held.
