Man grievously injured after fall

A 36-year-old man was grievously injured after falling off a scaffolding in Triq Salvu Privitera, St. Julian’s earlier today.

The incident happened at around 9.45am and preliminary investigations show that the man is Italian, but resides in St. Paul’s Bay. He was carrying out some construction work, when he fell from a height of around five feet.

He was rushed to Mater Dei hospital where he was certified as suffering grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
