Elderly woman suffers grievous injuries after slipping off pavement, is hit by bus

At around 9:40am today, police were called on the scene in the area of Mater Dei hospital, where investigations showed that a 63-year-old woman had slipped off the pavement, and as a result, the approaching bus ran over her leg.

The bus was being driven by 57-year-old Imtarfa resident.

Medical assistance was called on the scene to help the woman who suffered grievous injuries

Police investigations on the case are still ongoing.
