Youth grievously injured in 4am Marsa traffic accident

A 20-year-old man from Tarxien suffered grievous injuries after he was run over by a car in Marsa in the early hours of the morning.

The police said in a statement that a 21-year-old man from Zurrieq was driving down Triq Aldo Moro when he lost control of his car, crashed into a pavement and hit the young pedestrian.

He was rushed to Mater Dei for treatment for his injuries, which police say are grievous byut not life-threatening.
