Man falls from plank, in critical condition

A man from Kercem, Gozo, is in critical condition after falling the height of one storey whilst carrying out works at a construction site in the same locality.

The incident happened at around 2:10pm in Triq l-Ghaxra ta’ Marzu 1885. The worker, 55, fell off the plank.

He was rushed to Gozo General Hospital where he was certified to be suffering from grievous injuries and is in critical condition.

A magisterial inquiry is underway whilst the police is still investigating.
