Man critical after being hit by car

A man was left in critical condition after he was hit by a car in Santa Lucija Avenue, Paola, this morning.

The 50-year-old, of Marsaskala, was hit by a Mazda Demio driven by a 19-year-old Birkirkara resident at about 7:10am.

An ambulance conveyed the man to hospital where he was found to be in danger of dying.

The police investigations are still underway.
