Two seriously injured, man stabbed in Gozo street fight
Two men were hospitalised after suffering serious injuries during a street fight in a Gozo street, police said.
Two men were hospitalised after they were seriously injured during a street fight in a Gozo street, police said.
The incident occurred at around 9pm in Triq Fortunato Mizzi in Victoria, Gozo. The police were alerted to the trouble when one of the men, a 34-year-old Sudanese national living in Marsa walked into the Victoria police station and alleged that he had been attacked by another man.
Shortly after, the alleged aggressor, a 32-year-old Somali who lives in Munxar, walked into the station himself, with police saying that he had been wounded with a sharp instrument.
Both men were taken to the Gozo General Hospital where they were subsequently certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Their injuries are not life-threatening.
Police investigations are ongoing.
