A 58-year-old man was injured today after falling one storey from a construction site in Zebbug.
The Siggiewi resident was at work in Frans Sammut Road when, at around 12:30, the stone beneath him reportedly gave way after putting weight on his foot.
Members of the urban search and rescue unit within the civil protection department, police and paramedic were on the scene to assist the man.
According to reports, the man suffered injuries to his head and hand, with police later confirming that he was in danger of dying.
Duty magistrate Josette Demicoli opened an inquire into the case.
Police investigations are still on-going.
