Woman hospitalised after car accident

A middle-aged woman was taken to hospital this morning in order to receive treatment for injuries sustained in a car collision

A 41-year-old woman, resident of St Paul’s Bay, was hospitalised earlier today after being injured in a car accident.

The woman was driving her Toyota Vitz in St Andrew’s Street in Pembroke when she collided with another woman, 54, driving a Renault in the direction of St Julian’s, as she passed a set of traffic lights.

The accident took place at 8:15 this morning.

The woman was conveyed to Mater Dei hospital for medical treatment. While her condition is not yet known, police sources have confirmed that she is not in danger of dying.
