Child critical after being hit by car

A 6-year-old boy was critical injured after being hit by a car this morning.

The child was hit by a 28-year-old Zejtun woman driving a Mercedes Benz at 10:15am in St Catherine’s Street, Zejtun.

Paramedics took the child to Mater Dei hospital to receive treatment, but police sources later confirmed that he was in critical condition.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
