Traffic accident lands man in critical condition

A 28-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalised earlier today after being involved in a collision with a car in Hal Far Road, Birzebbugia.

The accident took place at 1:30pm when the man was driving his Yamaha Crypton towards the airport. For some reason, a collision took place with a 27-year-old woman driving a Toyota Tercel in the opposite direction.

The man was conveyed to Mater Dei hospital for treatment, but police sources confirmed that he was in danger of dying.

Duty magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit opened an inguiry with the help of several experts.

Police investigations are still under way.
