Police arrest 40-year-old Italian Woman

The woman was arrested after a European arrest warrant was issued by Italian authorities dealing with cases of organised crime

The Police have arrested a 40-year-old Italian woman after their assistance was requested by Italian authorities

Over the past days, the Maltese Police Force has been assisting Italian authorities in the arrest of a 40-year-old Italian Woman.

Assistance was requested after and investigation by Italian authorities dealing with organised crime, found that the woman had taken up residence in Mosta.

The woman was arrested after a European warrant was issued for her arrest. The woman will be taken to court in the coming days and will eventually be extradited to Italy.

This was not the first time that the police in Malta have assisted in similar operations related to criminal activity abroad.
