Gozitan truck driver dies in freak accident

A 63-year-old man from Xaghra died in a freak accident, when his truck cabin dislodged itself and crashed into a wall as he was driving down a hill in Ghasri.

The accident occured at around 4:10pm at Triq il-Fenek.

Civil Protection Department officials were called on site to assist the man, but he was certified as dead on the spot.

Police investigations are ongoing.
