Elderly woman hospitalised following Paola car accident

An 84-year-old woman was grievously injured late yesterday afternoon when she was hit by a car in Tarxien Road, Paola.

The accident took place at 5:30pm when the woman was hit by a Daihatsu Terios being driven by 36-year-old woman, resident of Tarxien.

The woman was conveyed to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance in order to receive treatement.

Police investigations are still on going.
