Senior citizen hit by car, suffers grievous injuries

A 78-year-old man was hit by a car this morning in Salib, in the limits of Rabat.

The Rabat resident sustained grievous injuries when driver behind the wheel of a Peugeot, a 28-year-old Sliema resident, collided with him at 8:30am.

The elderly man was taken to Mater Dei hospital to receive treatment.

Police investigations are still on-going.
