Man suffers grievous injuries in hunting accident

A hunter was grievously injured this morning when he was accidentally shot using a firearm.

The 51-year-old man, resident of Dingli, was injured while hunting in a field in Hal Tartarni Road, Dingli with another man, 30, at about 8:40am.

An ambulance rushed the man to hospital where the severity of his injuries were established.

Magistrate Ian Farrugia has opened an inquiry into the case.
