Three Romanian workers injured by bursting steam pipe at Palumbo shipyards
Three Romanian workers were injured this afternoon whilst carrying out works on a ship at the Palumbo shipyards.
The Police confirmed that the incident occurred at around 5.30pm and three workers were injured by a bursting steam pipe. Two workers, aged 23 and 52, suffered burns.
A third worker received medical assitance on site.

In a tweet, Health Minister Chris Fearne said that the steam pipe explosion at the shipyard had not been declared a major incident. He also confirmed that two workers were admitted to Mater Dei Hospital suffering from burns.
