Beam lands on shipyard worker’s leg

A South Korean worker suffered grievous injuries at his place of work, when a beam landed on his leg, according to the police’s communications office.

In a statement, the police said that the incident happened at around 2.20pm when it received a report that a worker was injured at Dock 7.

The man, who resides in St Julian’s, was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital.

Investigations by the police are underway.
