Elderly man grievously injured after being hit by car

An 81-year-old man from Santa Venera was grievously injured when he was hit by a car in Birkirkara this afternoon.

The accident happened in Notabile Road at 5:15pm, when the man was hit by a car was hit by Suzuki Swift that was being driven by a 21-year-old woman, from Attard.

The victim was taken to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance to receive treatment.
