Woman injured as car catches fire after crash
38-year-old woman hospitalized after early morning crash in Pembroke
A 38-year-old woman from St Julian's was hospitalized early this morning when the car she was a passenger in crashed into a van and caught fire.
The police said the accident happened in Triq Sant’ Andrija, Pembroke, at around 1am.
The car was driven by a 27-year-old woman from Birkirkara, while the van was driven by a 60-year-old man from Hamrun.
Both drivers escaped unharmed, but the passenger was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.
She was subsequently certified as suffering from slight injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
