Elderly pedestrian injured in Gżira traffic accident

An 84-year-old Gżira man has been grievously injured after being hit by a car.

The accident took place at 11:30am in Triq il-Gżira, Gżira, and involved a Citroen Berlingo being driven by a 52-year-old man, also from Gżira.

An ambulance conveyed the man to hospital to receive medical treatment.

Police investigations are ongoing.
