Suspected thief arrested at Zejtun petrol station

A man suspected of being involved in a series of thefts from petrol stations was arrested in Zejtun early this morning.

According to police, the 41-year-old Hamrun resident was arrested at a petrol station in Bir id-Deheb, Zejtun at 3:00am, on suspicion that he was involved in thefts from petrol stations in Gharghur, Gzira and Zejtun.

At the time of his arrest, the man was in possession of objects related to theft, including a mask and a screwdriver.

Police investigations are underway.
