Woman drowns while diving off Marsalforn

A diver has died this morning after experiencing difficulties off Marsalforn, Gozo.

According to police, it was around 10:50am when the 44-year-old British woman experienced difficulties while diving and was pulled out of the water by people in the area.

An ambulance was called on site while the woman was given first aid. However, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Duty magistrate Paul Coppini has launched an inquiry into the case.
