Motorcyclist hospitalised following Floriana collision

A motorcyclist was hosptialised to receive treatment for grievous injuries sustained this morning in a traffic accident.

The victim, a 47-year-old man from Sliema, was driving a BMW motorcycle on Pjazza San Kalcidonju, Floriana, at 9:30am, when he was involved in a collision with a Toyota Starlet.

An ambulance conveyed the man to Mater Dei hospital.

The man behind the wheel of the Toyota, a 37-year-old from Pembroke, as well as a 40-year-old woman from Sliema who was a passenger on the motorcycle, were unharmed.
