41-year-old grievously injured in one-storey fall

A 41-year-old man from Imtarfa was grievously injured this afternoon agter he fell from a height of around one storey.

Police said they were informed of the incident at 1pm and went immediately to St David Street in Mtarfa.

They soon ascertained the man had fallen from a height of around one storey but could not determine the cause of the fall.

Some media sources reported that the man had jumped off a balcony after locking himself out of his apartment.

The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was found to be suiffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
