Man arrested following drug bust

A man was arrested yesterday following days of surveillance that led to the discovery of a stash of cocaine.

According to the police, the 49-year-old Nigerian national was arrested after officers from the Drug Squad carried out a raid on his St Paul's Bay hotel room, and discovered 50 capsules of the drug under circumstances that indicated they were not for personal use.

The man is expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.
