Police arrest youth found in possession of cocaine

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after being found in possession of 31 sachets of cocaine.

The man was arrested after police observed a suspicious vehicle on Triq San Frangist, Floriana at 12:30am. The suspect, at the wheel of the vehicle, drove off at a high speed but was arrested close to the Blata l-Bajda Park and Ride.

Besides the cocaine, a search on the man’s person also yielded large sums of cash, according to police.

Police investigations are ongoing.
