Woman grievously injured after being hit by car

A woman was hospitalised with grievous injuries this morning after she was hit by a car.

According to police, the incident took place on   San Luqa, Pietà, just before 7:30am, when the 43-year-old Marsa resident was hit by Mazda 323, driven by a 24-year-old woman, of Gharb, Gozo.

An ambulance conveyed the victim to Mater Dei hospital for treatment.
