A man suffered grievous injuries while working in a hotel construction site in Sliema

A 38-year-old Valletta man suffered grievous injuries while working in a hotel construction site in Sliema, after a metal rod fell off a scaffolding, striking him in the head.

The incident took place on Triq Parisio at 11:30am.

An ambulance conveyed the man to Mater Dei hospital to receive treatment.
