Two motorists injured following Santa Venera collision

Two men were injured late yesterday evening after they were involved in a traffic accident.

According to police, a collision took place on Triq il-Kbira San Guzepp, Santa Venera, at 11:15pm, involving a BMW 320D driven by a 19-year-old man, of Marsaxlokk, and a Mazda Demio driven by a 57-year-old man from Gzira.

Both men were conveyed to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance, where it was determined that the 19-year-old was suffering from grievous injuries, whilst the 57-year-old was certified as suffering from slight injuries.

As a result of the accident, three other parked cars were also damaged.

Police investigations are still underway.
