Man faints at club, dies later in hospital

A man died in hospital early this morning after fainting while at a nightclub.

According to police, the 30-year-old Hamrun resident lost consciousness at around 12:20am at a club.

CPR was performed on the man in an attempt to resuscitate him before he was conveyed to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance.

Despite attempts to stabilise the man, he was pronounced dead at 1:20am.

Magistrate Audrey Demicoli has ordered an inquiry into the case.
