A 72-year-old woman from Mqabba was grievously injured this morning when she was hit by a car

A 72-year-old woman from Mqabba was grievously injured this morning when she was hit by a car while walking in the locality.

The accident happened at around 8:20am in Triq is-Sejba, and involved a Volkswagen Golf, driven by a 25-year-old woman from Siggiewi.

The woman was hospitalised to receive medical treatment.

Police investigations are ongoing.
