Man suffers serious internal injuries after brawl

A man has suffered serious internal injuries after being involved in an altercation with a group of people.

According to police, the man was found lying on the ground on Triq Elija Zammit, St Julian’s at about 1:00am, complaining of pain.

The 31-year-old Serbian national was conveyed to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrara has launched an inquiry into the case.
