Man hit by car in Ta' Xbiex

A 62-year-old man suffered grievous injuries when he was hit by a car in Ta' Xbiex.

The incident happened at Ix-Xatt in Ta' Xbiex at around 9.15am.

The victim, a Gzira resident, was hit by a truck being driven by a 47-year-old man from Marsa.

An ambulance was called on site and rushed the man to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified to have suffered grievous injuries. Investigations by the police are underway.
