Woman robs Birkirkara establishment with vague threat

A woman allegedly entered a Birkirkara establishment in the dead of night and pointed a towel-covered arm at the cashier, the police said on Sunday.

The incident took place in an establishment on Triq il-Wied at around midnight on Sunday morning. Police went on site and after preliminary investigations found that the woman in question had made off with cash soon after the threat to the 18-year old cashier.

Other employees were working in the establishment at that time but nobody was hurt.

Police investigations are ongoing.
