Police arrest two suspected of dealing cocaine and herion

Two men suspected of dealing in cocaine and heroin were detained on Monday, the police said in a statement.

According to the statement, the two men, a 19-year-old from Hal-Qormi and a 33-year-old from Valletta, were detained by members of the police drugs squad on Monday.

The two men were found to have been carrying over 100g of a white powder suspected to be cocaine, and roughly 50g of heroin. They were also carrying €7,000 in cash.

A magisterial inquiry has been ordered, with a number of court experts appointed.

The two men could be arraigned in court tomorrow.
