Drug addict threatened father, court told
The man was charged with causing his father to fear violence would be used against him, his family, or his property
A 42 year old man has been remanded in custody for threatening his father in an argument on Saturday.
Inspector Eman Hayman charged Jeffrey Sultana from Zabbar with causing his father to fear violence would be used against him, his family, or his property early on Saturday afternoon.
Few details about the cause or nature of the incident emerged in today’s sitting before magistrate Claire Louise Stafrace.
Sultana is understood to have threatened his father, with whom he lives, during a row over his drug use. It is believed to not be the first time a police report had been filed about the man’s threats.
Lawyer Yanika Camilleri, appointed as legal aid to the accused entered a not guilty plea. Bail was not requested.
