Man dies in two-storey fall off balcony

A 64-year-old man tragically lost his life Saturday morning after he fell off a balcony in his home.

The police said the accident happened at around 11.30am in Triq is-Sikka, Bahar ic-Caghaq. The man appears to have somehow slipped while he was on a balcony at his residence, falling two storeys.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, but was unfortunately declared dead shortly after arriving.

Magistrate Simone Grech started an inquiry on the case and appointed various experts to assist her.

Police investigations are ongoing.
