Two arrested in Zejtun cannabis bust

Two men have been arrested by the police after they were caught with 130kg of “cannabis plant”.

The police said in a statement that the plants were found in a Zejtun garage.

Two individuals, a 22-year-old and 34-year-old, both from Bormla, are expected to be charged with aggravated possession in court in the coming hours.

A magisterial inquiry is being led by magistrate Natashia Galea Sciberras and police investigations continue.
