Young man injured in motorcycle accident

A 22-year-old man from Xaghra, Gozo was seriously injured on Saturday after losing control of the motorcycle he was riding.

The police said that the accident, which took place at around 2pm in Triq ix-Xħajma, happened when the man lost contorl of his Suzuki motorcycle and was consequently thrown off it.

The victim was taken to Gozo General Hospital, where his injuries were determined to be serious in nature.

Police investigations are ongoing.
