Labour leader Joseph Muscat intends making Gozo a target constituency in the 2013 campaign.

Labour will be launching its electoral campaign in Gozo, where the Nationalist Party holds three seats of the constituency.

The Labour party's first mass meeting will be held on Sunday, 13 January, as announced by the party's executive secretary Lydia Abela this morning on One Breakfast.

There is no doubt that the choice of Gozo to launch its campaign is a symbolic one for Labour, which intends making the 13th district a target constituency.

For decades, the sister island has been a Nationalist stronghold.

Please Gozitans do not let us down this time round. PL cannot win in Malta but then its lead is wiped out in Gozo. Our country deserve to be run by an honest party under Dr. Joseph Muscat. Be brave, do not allow gonzipn to take you for another ride, as they did for the last 10 years.

The PL seriously needs to think to field serious and valid people in Gozo and steer away from the established bunch of actual MP's, candidates and party delegates who are already promoting themselves with the pre-1987 style of doing business. Please note that we are now in 2012 and Gozo has already been plundered by 25 years of PN administration in tandem with the current MP’s. These all think of Gozo as a profit making issue and vote fishing exercis. In simple words we can do better without the MAFIA we have on both sides.

We need a change in government in Gozo, enough of a careless PN on our small island. We need tourist, as it is the backbone of our economy, our roads must be fixed, control the bird killing in the country side, peaceful and clean countryside, stop the net fishing very close to shore for the diving business.More work in Gozo for our citizens,GonziPN fail us in GOZO big time.

Considering the lack of investment (apart from factories that come...and go), the lack of employment (especially for youths), the state of the health services and the lower salary structures in Gozo after a quarter of a century of a PN government makes one really wonder how it can still be a "Nationalist stronghold"...indeed the mind boggles! Oh! Yes, now I know...it's thank's to ec(h)o - Gozo...minn dak li ghadna m'hemm xejn!
