Nationalist MP Michael Gonzi tweeted earlier today that the PL would be unveiling its strategy on Wednesday at the Intercontinental Hotel in St Julian's, although there is no official confirmation yet from Labour.
Addressing the media at a social gathering for the New Year at Labour headquarters, Joseph Muscat said the party will be engaged in an electoral campaign that will have "an open door" to the media and offer a "constructive dialogue".
"Our commitment throughout the next eight weeks is to meet families, businesses, the media and the constituted bodies. We will have an open door, and as we present our proposals we will be engaged in constructive dialogue.
"This will be the second longest ever campaign in the last 25 years, and it means we have greater responsibility to keep a certain element of serenity in the country."
Muscat said Labour will be carrying out a positive campaign with the main message being the need for change and for unity in the country. "Our slogan is that even if you don't agree with us, you can still work with us," Muscat said.
